Tim Garuda UNY Siap Bersaing di Shell Eco-Marathon Asia Pasifik dan Timur Tengah 2024

From July 2 to 6, 2024, a global community of student innovators will gather at the Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara for the prestigious Shell Eco-marathon Asia Pacific and Middle East 2024. The competition is a platform specifically designed to promote green vehicle technology, with the main objective of encouraging innovation to address global climate crisis issues.
The Shell Eco-marathon Asia Pacific and Middle East competition will be held in Mandalika for three consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024. Shell Eco-marathon Asia Pacific and Middle East 2024 was participated by 86 teams from 11 countries. Domestic universities that participated included Yogyakarta State University, University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, among others. While universities from abroad such as Monash University Malaysia, Qatar University, King Saud University, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, as well as various other well-known universities in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, all compete for the title.
The annual competition is not only a venue to test the limits of the latest technology in sustainable mobility, but also a means for students from various countries in the Asia Pacific and Middle East to exchange ideas and experiences. Mandalika International Circuit, famous for its natural beauty and modern infrastructure, was chosen as the ideal location to showcase the reliability and efficiency of eco-friendly vehicles.
In this event, Garuda UNY Team from Yogyakarta State University will compete in the Urban Class with the determination to show high achievements in the development of energy-efficient car technology. The team is led by Sultan Muhammad Yusuf, a passionate and experienced person who inspires his teammates to achieve maximum performance.
