MOBO-EVO ROBOT WON SECOND PLACE IN THE KRI NATIONAL LEVEL

MOBO-EVO won Second Place in the National Level of Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) in 2023 at the Indonesian Wheeled Football Robot Contest (KRSBI-Wheeled), held on June 22–25, 2023, at the University of Semarang (USM). The Indonesian Robot Contest is organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and this year was attended by 191 universities with 393 teams divided into 7 categories, namely the Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Dance Art Robot Contest (KRSTI), the Indonesian SAR Robot Contest (KRSRI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI-Wheeled), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI-Humanoid), the Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest (KRTMI), and the Indonesian Underwater Robot Contest (KRBAI).The Wheeled KRSBI Division which is one of the categories by adopting the RoboCup Middle Size League in International Level robot football match held since 1997. Meanwhile, at the KRI National Level, the MOBO-EVO UNY team competed with 18 teams from universities throughout Indonesia.

The development of the MOBO-EVO UNY team's capabilities in mechanics, manufacturing, electronics, programming, artificial intelligence, image processing, digital communication, and strategies for good robots has led to the achievement of Second Place in the National Wheeled Football Robot Contest (KRSBI-Wheeled). In addition to winning Second Place, MOBO-EVO in the same division also won the Special Category Champion, namely Best Design at the KRI National Level.

Galih, as the leader, delivered thorough preparations ahead of the 2023 Indonesian Robot Contest competition. "The MOBO-EVO team is preparing at regional and national levels. The team has high motivation and optimism for this year. From the results obtained, the team is very grateful for all the support and prayers from our parents, loved ones, supervisors, and the entire MOBO-EVO family," he said. Meanwhile, Bram, as the motion programmer, expressed gratitude for the hard work of everyone on the team with the achievement of Second Place and Best Design which was also achieved by MOBO-EVO in 2018. "Everything can be achieved through the hard work of MOBO-EVO friends and also guidance from our lecturers to continue to develop technology that can lead us to champions," he said.
