The Abhinaya Won 2nd National Champion in the KRTMI 2024 Division KRI Competition

The Abhinaya team from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) won a brilliant victory at the national event of the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) in the Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest division (KRTMI) which was held recently at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. The KRI competition itself was held by the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Puspresnas). This success is inseparable from the hard work and dedication of all team members, as well as the support of the supervisor.

The Abhinaya UNY team, managed to rank 2nd out of 24 other teams using their sophisticated robot with the theme “Waste Sorting Robot”. The robot is designed to move automatically in the collection and sorting of garbage. The types of waste that can be detected by the Robot are leaf, plastic, paper and metal waste.

Of course the Abhinaya Team's journey to this victory was not easy. For months, the team led by Ilham Widyo Nugroho worked tirelessly to prepare the robot that would compete in this competition. Ananda, who is also the Team Leader, expressed his pride at this achievement. “This victory is the result of hard work, collaboration, dedication and support from all UNY parties, so this victory does not only belong to the team, but also to the entire big family of Yogyakarta State University. We are grateful for all the support that has been given,” he said.

The support from the supervisors, Prof. Ir. Moh Khairuddin, M.T., Ph.D. and Dr. Herlambang Sigit Pramono, S.T., M.Cs., was also instrumental in this success. Both supervisors provided invaluable guidance and motivation for the team. “Alhamdulillah, congratulations! This news is really encouraging. This is proof that with hard work and undying enthusiasm, we can repeat the history of Abhinaya as the second national champion. Let's keep up the spirit to achieve even better!”, said Prof. Ir. Moh Khairuddin, M.T., Ph.D. ”The Abhinaya team has shown extraordinary dedication, innovation and hard work. They are an inspiration for Yogyakarta State University students. This victory proves that with an unyielding spirit and strong collaboration, brilliant achievements can be achieved. Hopefully next year we can achieve even higher achievements.” said Dr. Herlambang Sigit Pramono, S.T., M.Cs..

The Abhinaya UNY team consists of 13 students from various majors and supervisors Prof. Ir. The hope is that this victory can be an inspiration for other students and also the Abhinaya team itself to continue to innovate and excel. The Abhinaya team has proven that with hard work, dedication and high spirits, anything can be achieved.
